Like all licensed architects, I worked under the supervision of others prior to beginning my own firm. In order to assist you in properly evaluating my level of experience in any given area, I have developed the following key, which indicates my level of responsibility on each project:

Programming, schematics, and cost estimating for a new R&D facility. Related work by other team members included computer mapping to determine ideal location for facility given numerous parameters.

- Project Manager on the Postal Service's behalf on three vehicle maintenance facilities, a new facility in Harrisburg, a modified facility in Pittsburgh, and an adaptive reuse facility in Scranton.
- Project Manager for conversion of existing tenant space - Aston, PA.
- Served as liaison with outside architects after I prepared schematic site and building layouts for various postal facilities. Included were new, rehabbed, and leased buildings or areas. Prepared contract documents for in-house projects.
Upsal Train Station (R-8 Chestnut Hill West Line)
Development of plans and permit drawings with lessee/contractor for modifications of train station to house gourmet food store with small eat-in capacity, meeting room with serving kitchen, nail salon, and automated bank teller machine. Space was extremely tight, and many options were studied.

- Major 66,000 square-foot teaching facility for the handicapped. This was an addition to existing Vo-Tech School, and incorporated a variety of teaching spaces on a hilly and constrained portion of the site. Project came in under budget and for a most competitive over-all cost.

- Alterations to six campus buildings (total project budget 5M), including extensive phasing and budgeting, and contract document management for new administrative quarters, a new campus store, a mailroom duplicating facility, university archives, and campus ministry.

- All Weather running track to replace an outdated cinder facility.
Marine Research Center for Rutgers University (NJ)
- 2nd place design award - in-house design contest at Vitetta Group
- New 13,000 square-foot building with numerous laboratories, including the provision of running saltwater, lab/offices, agency space, and dormitory for students. Project utilized geothermal heat pump system and all-wood construction due to salt conditions. Project was built on a tight budget and with dormitory space designed to be convertible into future laboratory space.

Scope of work included consideration of both new and existing facilities at various sites, with extensive functional and cost analyses of the alternatives. This report, which also included a study of the entire State mental health care delivery system prepared by a psychologist working for the same firm, was called the "best consultant's report ever received" by that State

Prepared alternative schematics from the community's perspective, which also better served the client, and which were accepted in lieu of the scheme proposed by the Parking Authority's Architect (I was later hired by that architect due in part to the success of this effort).

- Explored options for possible expansion of existing sanctuary or new sanctuary and support space. Extensive computer-generated options, including aluminum and laminated wood domes, rigid frame pre-engineered building with conventional facade, etc.
- Consultation and assistance in searching for possible sites to buy or lease.
- Development concepts for large land parcel to be divided with commercial development.
- Founders' Residence restoration (refer to Residential Projects below)
- Comprehensive design, documentation, and construction phase services for a 2,200 seat sanctuary dividable into three sections, and a children's church/fellowship center to house 800+ for eating with a commercial kitchen. Project cost ±$7 million.

Comprehensive architectural services in two phases for the adaptive reuse of a 52,000 sf bakery building into a Worship and Service Center. This is the largest facility of its kind in Philadelphia to date. Included are a 240-seat chapel, gym, fellowship center with commercial kitchen, offices, educational and activity spaces, tenant spaces for 7 kindergarten classrooms for the School District of Philadelphia, senior citizen services and political representatives, and provision for future early child care facilities. Preliminary planning for lower level tenant layout not yet leased.

Initial planning for community center by a church for the hearing-impaired to be built in an adjacent shell with no roof or front walls remaining due to fire. We assisted in obtaining approvals for partial demolition and securing of the site as well as structural feasibility using a forensics engineer.
